The Scene
This two-story Victorian bed-and-breakfast-style home is made solely for extended stays--a one-week minimum is required. If you're in town for a while on business or planning on relocating, it is a nice alternative to the more generic long-term properties. It is located in a historic neighborhood, across from its parent/owner, The Blooming Garden Inn. It is just minutes from Duke University.
The Details
The two upstairs bedrooms share a bath, while the two-room suite downstairs has a private bath with a claw-footed tub. The suite also has cable TV, a house phone and a well-equipped kitchen. Optional maid service is available, and you can do your laundry on the premises. Dolly's shop, on the second floor, sells collectibles and knickknacks. Breakfast is available at the inn across the street.
