The Scene
This boutique, with its lime-green walls and fruity candle scent, doesn't deviate from the artsy motif of downtown Decatur. Unlike some area shops, the store has ample room to peruse. Even better, the friendly owners help without hovering. Large dressing rooms are another plus, and soft track lighting completes the low-pressure sales atmosphere.
The Goods
The owners favor casual ruffled tops that move from day to evening. The clothes, appropriate for slim 20- to 40-year-olds, are cute and hip, without being over the top. Boogaloos carries more than 20 name-brand designers and keeps its offerings in the $30-$100 range. Look for names such as Emma Black, To the Max, Seven, Frankie B., Language and French Connection and plenty of casual jeans and pants. Boogaloos' selection of locally designed jewelry abounds, as does its assortment of sequined and beaded handbags. On the casual side, denim wrist cuffs go well with a baby doll T-shirt.

I'm not normally a boutique girl as my fashion sense is pretty much non existent, but I wanted to buy some cute fashionable clothes for going out. A friend recommended Boogaloos so I thought I'd give it a try. I was amazed at how helpful the staff were - they picked out items for me to try on and gave me their honest opinions on what worked/didn't work for me. I normally don't like to shop but I can honestly say they made it a fun experience. Will definitely be going back soon to add to my new fashion wardrobe!

I agree with the negative reviews. Very pushy staff; uncomfortable atmosphere. They seem a little desperate. Always on the lookout for a good boutique, but, if you are looking for a cute outfit and a good shopping experience, you will not find that here. Good luck.
