I just wanted to take a quick minute to write about how wonderful my tanning salon is. I tan almost every afternoon and the girl who works there has learned my name and has me set and ready to go in my room by the time I walk into the door. You could not ask for better customer service. For the quality and price you pay for this salon I could honestly say that LA TAN is under charging there customers. Like I have told the girl who works there you could walk from the back of the salon to the front and not a spec of dirt would be stuck to the bottom of your foot. Before I tanned at LA I tanned at planet beach I thought that salon was top notch until I found LA TAN.
Pros: Price and Employee's

There are two major downfalls of tanning salons in my opinion: 1) Bad staff members 2) confusing pricing. I started looking for somewhere to tan in Chapel Hill with prices in mind, expecting it to be a little pricier than the places in Raleigh. I went to LA Tan first to see what kind of options they had. The girl working there was very helpful, she went over all of the options with me, twice, let me use her calculator and even wrote down for me what she had said so could take it home. She made very good first impression. I was pretty sure I wanted to buy a package there, I just needed to get the prices from one other place first. So the next day I went back to LA Tan after deciding that they had the best deal running, buy $25 tanning bucks and get your first week free (I'm sure, she wrote it down for me). Unfortunately, a different woman was working. I was told that there was no such offer and I would have to spend $55 to get an extra $25 credited to my account, which was not the same thing as the offer I had been told the day before. To get a free first week I would need to buy $20 in products (this was an option given to me the day before) but I would need to bring a coupon. The coupons were sitting right there on the counter in a stack, did she really need me to hand it to her? She seemed to be avoiding admitting that someone had made a mistake or their specials had changed (either of these explanations would have been more acceptable than pretending not to know what I'm talking about). It came across as rather rude. In short, they almost had a new customer, but either their pricing can literally change overnight (HA) or their staff doesn't know what going on. I can't tell you more about the place because I never got past their front desk. Also, they take your finger prints as a new member. I know this is getting more common, but be real. Its tanning, not the FBI. Invasion of privacy, people.
Pros: You might get lucky and find a helpful employee.
Cons: You might not get lucky.
