We went for a special Mother's Day brunch and were not disappointed! The food was absolutely incredible - the steak melted in your mouth and we have never eaten such fresh produce at a dining establishment! We had exceptionally good service and the management is very accomodating and pleasant, but not in your face. I would highly recommend a visit if you want a relaxing and wonderful meal. We will chose to dine out less often to go to Fraziers just once!

Pros: Ambience, food quality, staff

Cons: parking

I've never written a review for Citysearch before, but once again I had a great dinner at Frazier's last week and am writing to encourage anyone passionate about food to give this place a try - especially if you've read recent negative reviews. The service at Frazier's is stellar. The entire staff simply seems to want you to have a great time enjoying their food. They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They take pride in the menu and will advise if you're unsure, suggest wines if you ask ... and if you absolutely know what you want, they will back off, yet always remain attentive. Uniquely, the staff at Frazier's seem to have no 'ownership' over tables, and you might have the bartender or another server stopping by at some point - always just when you want them to: clearing plates, replenishing drinks, discussing food or drink, and generally making sure your needs are met. The food is out of this world. The menu is always changing, and always short: handful of appetizers including a few soups and salads, two or three pasta dishes, and a variety of fish, meat, and fowl entrees. I'd like to expound on my dinner last week (pate', salad, roasted duck entree, shared cheese plate and lemon pie and chocolate-mint martini to finish) but I'd salivate just thinking about it. The accompaniments to the appetizer and cheese were varied, well-planned and nicely presented. I recommend the cheese, either as appetizer or dessert. What I really love about Frazier's is the combination of excellent food and excellent drink, served with care and expertise but absolutely without inflation or pretense. This is an elegant yet very comfortable place where I'd gladly bring my parents, business partners, a first date, or good friends for an excellent dinner. If you love good food, please don't hesitate - just go!

Pros: Service, cuisine, dining experience, decor/atmosphere

Cons: none

I went to eat at Frazier's with high expectations, but left severely disappointed. The food wasn't anything to remember- it was okay, but not good enough to justify going there. I don't intend to return (it's not worth spending that much!). Don't waste your time here.

Pros: comfortable

Cons: food is not worth the money

I had eaten here almost a year ago and liked it enough to try it again this past weekend. I was very disappointed. I had hoped for a much more creative menu, but it just wasn't. As someone else mentioned, it relied heavily on pastas. The service was friendly...when we could get it. We waited several minutes to be greeted by our waitress when we first sat down, then about 10 more minutes just to get our water. It took us 2 hours from beginning to end and that is not because we were enjoying ourselves lingering. In fact, the cramped, stuffy atmosphere made it a relief to finally get out of there. The food was average, and for the money, it was definitely well below average. And, the portions are small so we both left slightly hungry. From my experience, there are much better places for fine dining in Raleigh. I'd love to be able to say great things about Frazier's, but I just can't.

Thought it was okay. I had heard Fraziers had a very creative menu, but it wasn't that interesting. The duck was very so-so. Too gamey and not very flavorful. I wouldn't run away from it, but at the same time, I wouldn't run to it. Pleasant atmosphere.

First time at Frazier’s last night, a superb meal from the BLT Salad to the Gnocchi with Bolognese Sauce to the Fish with roasted corn to the superb cheese course for dessert. As a relative newcomer to the Raleigh area, having done the Angus Barn and 42nd Street and the like I am very pleased to find that we do indeed have some very good small restaurants

Pros: Great Food & Service

Cons: Somewhat crampedand little parking

I went to Frazier's last summer and was utterly blown away by the food. Not only was it excellent, but it was creative. I returned this past June, with admittedly high expectations. After a few moments studying the menu, I was disappointed. It wasn't nearly as ambitious or creative as it had been. It was very heavy on pastas. At the end of the meal, I asked the waitress if Jay Bever was still the head chef. She said that he had left (unfortunately). I have a feeling that much of Frazier's greatness was due to Mr. Bever. If you're looking for creative, avant-garde cuisine, head over to Piedmont in Durham.

Pros: Still better than most Raleigh restaurants

Cons: Not quite as ambitious as before

My friend and I visited Frazier's on 7/11. The atmosphere was nice; cozy and chic. The service was good, but slow. We waited close to 30 mins. for a salad (that did not come with the meal). The food was average at best, so the small portion size did not bother me. I think I expected more for the money. If I'm in Raleigh again, I would try somewhere else. Any suggestions???

The food, service and vibe of Frazier's are all outstanding. The focus on local and seasonal ingredients promote fresh foods, and inventive menus. The Hebe and Chef's seasonal vegetables were both tasty and well presented. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive, and the decor is unique and really exudes a neighborhood bistro in a much larger city. The location on one of Raleigh's few urban thoroughfares is perfect for this type of restaurant. This is a fantastic date place for any foodie that appreciates fresh and inventive dining. Hillsborough Street, much less the triangle, is lucky to have Frazier's.

Pros: Excellent food and atmosphere

Cons: Can be pricey

WOW is my comment for this hidden restaurant. Tucked on the NC State stripp this restaurant offers it all. The atmosphere is very artsy and relaxing. I took my boyfriend for his birthday and was very pleased. Take advantage of the online reservations, which we did and were promptly seated. The service was excellent and we wanted for nothing during our dinner. The owner, chief, and host visted our table to make sure our dinner was fine. The staff was great and help any table out without complaint. Try the steak it is mouthwatering and the crepes are too. The attention to detail is outstanding. I left a comment on my online reservation as to my boyfriends birthday and upon arrival the hostess wished him happy birthday and for our desert they even wrote happy birthday on his plate. It was great and we were thrilled. Try the steak, pork and the salads they are awesome. I don't know how I went so long without visiting this restaurant but it was definitly worth the wait. The photo online needs updating since it has been redesigned.

Pros: Great service, great food, and great atmosphere

Cons: Parking can be tricky but hey it's well worth it
