Delicious food, great selection and lots of vegetarian options. Their service is quick and friendly. Their beer selection is excellent. It gets a bit crowded at lunchtime, but is worth the wait.

We went on a Saturday night--it was a little busy, not bad. The service was great, the beer was excellent and the food was the best we've had in Durham for the price so far!! Highly recommended.
Pros: Service, food, beer
Cons: Parking during games

Every Mellow Mushroom I have been to has had great food. Can be crowded on weekends, and after Bulls games, but worth it. Get a pitcher to go with it.
Pros: The Food
Cons: Sometimes slow service...even when not busy

Ate here last night--best pizza I've ever had! My table ordered the large kosmic karma pizza (red sauce pizza with veggies and drizzled with pesto). It was outstanding! Also had a great waitress and didn't have to wait for a table. Definitely eating here again!
Pros: great pizza, good service
Cons: n/a

Love, love, love the Mellow Mushroom!! The pizzas are incredible, especially the Gourmet White. They also have a great beer selection and awesome location. I can't wait til spring, so I can eat on their patio before baseball games. You can't get a better pizza or location in Durham!
Pros: Unique pizzas, location next to Durham Bulls
Cons: Nada

We waited 45 minutes instead of 15 minutes only to find out that our pager didn't work. Management did not offer apology...we thus had an additonal 20 minutes for our pizza to be served. If you have to wait, stand there and don't leave. We went to the bar so we were in the building the whole time but they still couldn't find us even though they paged us "repeatedly" ... and we were indeed literally 20 feet away.
Pros: Pizza was good
Cons: Pagers don't work sometimes; so be careful

The pizza at this Mellow Mushroom, over 3-4 visits, has been like the pizza at any Mellow Mushroom. It's pretty good, a little above average. The location, for Durham, is pretty great! Outside seating overlooks the water feature at the AT building, and the American Tobacco building itself is pretty cool - what a great renovation! This is a great place for groups, kids, or a pre or post- ballpark meal.
Pros: Location

We love the Mellow Mushroom on Glenwood in Raleigh and were happy to have one closer to us. The first time we tried pizza at this restaurant, they burned the crust. OK everyone deserves a second chance. The second time they burned the crust again, so we explained to the waitress and they fixed another one. Burned again. We ordered the fetta cheese with sundried tomatoes, but another pizza with different ingredients was ordered at our table and that crust was fine. Did we get an apology, NO. Were we offered a no charge on the burned pizza, NO. I will NOT go back to Mellow Mushroom in Durham. Upon trying to contact the management later, no response. They just don't care!!
Pros: Nice loacation by the waterfall
Cons: No one cares about their customers

I have been looking for a great pizza place since moving to Raleigh 2 years ago, and I am happy to say that I have finally found one! Mellow Mushroom was not only the best pizza I have had in Raleigh, but it is the best pizza I have ever eaten. What a find! They are always very busy, so it is hard to find a parking spot and it takes a while to get your food. However, it is well worth the wait.
Pros: Awesome Pizza, Cool Location, Kid Friendly
Cons: Parking, Wait Time

We have a Mellow Mushroom in Raleigh, so I was excited when one opened in Durham near my office. Me and my co-workers eat lunch there several times a week. Great salads and calzones! I always get the chef salad and house calzone and have not been disappointed yet. The veggies are always fresh and the Espranza salad dressing is sooo good! Lunch is busy, but the service is fast. Makes my lunch break much more enjoyable!
Pros: Salads, Calzones, Service
