I purchased a wedding dress from Traditions Bridal for $2,000. I was willing to pay this expense at a pricey, non-franchised vendor for an assurance of quality and customer service; that I truly thought I would be getting from Traditions Bridal and not other retailers. At the dress fitting, the zipper was sticking. I expressed my concern to the tailor at Traditions Bridal who positively assured me that it was fine and I would have no trouble with it on my wedding day. Having no experience in tailoring and her reminding me that she had tailored hundreds of wedding dresses; I accepted her professional judgment. Five days later, on my wedding day, the zipper sticks in the same place. Unfortunately, I was in very remote location at the top of the Smoky Mountains. My mother in-law was thankfully able to find needle and thread, and then literally sew me into the dress! Although, the day turned out perfectly; there was a needless stress and anxiety placed over the occasion, that could have been avoided. After receiving the run-around and un-returned phone calls from the owner for eight months, she finally told my husband that they do not guarantee their products or their work and that no part of the wedding dress price would be refunded. For me, part of the expense was for a calm and glitch-free wedding dress experience on that special day. I was very disappointed in their lack of empathy, crude, and unapologetic response to the situation. If you are looking for friendly customer care and service, after they have your money, then I would NOT choose Traditions Bridal!
Cons: Very poor customer service, angry and rude owner and workers

If you're reading a lot of Bridala Store reviews, well, these women can be brutal. Lesson: Don't cross a bride-to-be or suffer the consequences (ala a woman scorned...). We were in Traditions today and found them very responsive and helpful. There were several brides in there and all seemed to be happy and getting the attention they wanted (we were in getting Flower girl dress). Very nice selection...maybe a bit pricy but VERY pretty dresses and of finest quality. I like this shop, would go back and recommend to another.
Pros: pretty selection of dresses-yes, expensive, but it's YOUR day, might as well have the best.
Cons: none

I had a terrible experience here. Not only did I feel pressured to buy (clearly the salesperson needed their comission quota that day) , but the prices were REDICULOUS! I was completely overwhelmed and left after trying on only a few gowns. The atmosphere was pompous and the salesperson was snotty. I did not feel special like I think every bride should when shopping for their perfect wedding gown.
Pros: Pretty dresses
Cons: Pressured atmosphere

The sales staff are absolutely wonderful! Before we started looking at dresses, I had a "consultation" of sorts with Anna where I described the feel and look I wanted to create for my wedding. She easily translated my thoughts into dresses and was so patient and helpful when selecting dresses for me. She helped me in the dressing room and provided snacks and drinks throughout the process. While the prices are higher than some other salons I've been to, they are well worth it. The construction of the dresses and the quality of fabrics, lace and beading is unparalleled by any other store I've seen in the Triangle. The women working there are fabulous. Many of them have daughters and are very in touch with both trends and also the more classic looks. They never tried to 'sell' me a dress but encouraged me to find what made me feel comfortable and 'bridal.' I wish I could try on wedding dresses there every day!
Pros: Wonderful Staff!!
Cons: Higher prices (but worth it!)

when i was looking for a wedding dress, i think i went to EVERY bridal store in the triangle. even though i didn't purchase my dress from traditions, it was by far my favorite. the staff was very friendly, knowledgable and attentive. they asked the right questions and listened to what i had to say. they have a beautiful selection of dresses at varying prices. i haven't been to their new North Hills location, but it looks gorgeous from the outside. I give Traditions my highest recommendation.
Pros: service
Cons: appointment only

Traditions was absolutely wonderful and helpful prior to my purchase. After I paid for my dress the staff was incredibly unhelpful and not willing to work with me or with my wedding part. On top of them being unhelpful they were just plain rude. You pay for their location NOT their service. I wouldn't recommend anyone visiting this store if you're looking for service.
Pros: Great Location
Cons: Rude, Unhelpful staff after the sale

I cannot disagree with the poor review more; I even registered to write a review in order to respond to it! I have had the best experience with Traditions. Traditions put all the other shops I visited to shame. Not only are their dresses gorgeous, the staff is far more professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating that any of the other shops I visited (here and in Atlanta). Moreover, I have been pestering them for months since buying my dress - asking: for recommendations on a tailor for other items, to hold the dress (my original wedding day got postponed 6 months), for additional fabric samples, for a jacket to be made, for a them to order a cocktail dress for me to consider for my bridesmaids...the list is truly endless! Despite all my requests, the service has been outstanding; each and every person I have spoken with has been wonderful - polite and knowledgeable. I could not give a stronger recommendation for Traditions; I would definitely recommend them to a friend.
Pros: Service and knowledge make up for price
Cons: Only carry expensive dresses

Traditions was one of a few dress shops I visited in my search for a dress and I feel in love. The service was outstanding, especially Martha who was one of the main reasons I chose to buy my dress there. The owner was very professional and willing to accomodate our needs. Liz was also wonderful and very willing to help when I came back to try the dress on for a second time. They even kept it back for an extra day when the dress needed to leave for a trunk show. I was very impressed and wish I had saved myself a lot of headaches by only visiting them!
Pros: Wonderful service, great designers, good location
Cons: Pricey but VERY worth it!

This store was perfect for wedding dress shopping! Not only was the staff very friendly but they were also very knowledgeable and actually listened to what I liked and didn't like. Their selection is unmatched and the prices are reasonable as far as designer dresses go. I found the perfect dress there and they were so helpful the entire time. LOVED IT!
Pros: selection, staff
Cons: pricey

From the moment we paid for the dress, the atmosphere changed dramatically. Just about everything we have been assured of at the start turned out to be a misrepresentation of fact. From their inability to now handle shipping our dress, to the necessity of having to go through several rounds of alterations, the entire experience was frustrating and disappointing. The final straw was when after having to alter the dress several times (by two different seamstresses), they had caused the dress to become very dirty at several locations at and above the bottom hem-line. After first claiming the dress had started out dirty, they final stated that it was the customers responsiblity to clean their dress after purchase. In other words, they made it clear that they routinely sold "dirty" dresses, and professed that this was nothing out of the ordinary. Bottom-line - Save your money and a great deal of frustration. Find a different shop. PS: Everyone but the seamstress named Maria was also generally very rude. Especially the store manager, a woman named Elizabeth. And in case you are thinking that we are just picky, when we consider the entire planning we did for the wedding, this was the only experience we had that was disappointing, and the only individuals from the florist to the caterer, from the hotel to the photographer that we would not recommend to our friends.
Pros: Maria the seamstress
Cons: Everything else. Rude, unprofessional and untruthful
