I have been to a lot of places to have my chest waxed and I always had to go home and finish with my girlfriends tweezers. I thought this was acceptable because it seemed rather consistent. I went to Destenee for my appointment and was pleasantly surprised. It was less painful than other places and she was very thorough. After she waxed she went back and got the stragglers with tweezers. I left completely bear and happy! I would recommend this place to anyone.

I had to take a break from my busy workweek and was able to pamper myself. Thanks to my friend Sheree who referred this fabulous Day Spa to me. I must admit that I am quite meticulous when it comes to Spas, I am a keen observer to a place especially if it is my first time. The place was big, but the feeling that you were the only client that they have there was nice. I really felt comfortable and I was greeted with a warm welcome by their friendly staff. I have read a lot of good reviews and it was true that they have, courteous and sociable staff and professionally trained estheticians and therapists. I was totally amazed with the quality of their work and professionalism that they offer. They even give you $10 off your next visit to spread the word! Overall, I really enjoyed my time there.

First let me start off by saying I'm a manicure and pedicure veteran, so pleasing me isn't easy! This was the absolute best experience I've ever had in a nail salon. Stacy was adorable and held the most compelling and welcoming conversation I've ever had during a mani/pedi service. Not to mention the outstanding job she did on my nails and toes! She was definitely experienced and specialized in what she does!!! This salon is clearly under good management. The way the staff welcomed and greeted me made me feel right at home the instant I walked in. They offered me magazines, refreshments, wine and made sure I was completely comfortable...I'm sold! I've been to similar salons as far as appearance, but never to a salon with style, grace, customer service skills, and class like Destenee. It’s beautiful, comfortable, and most importantly, CLEAN! They went above and beyond the cause to sterilize all of their equipment. The products they used were divine, and left my skin feeling heavenly! I would recommend this salon to anyone, its the perfect get-a-way, the best place to relax and unwind anytime of day! My advice? HURRY IN TODAY and experience what I have! I’m sure you will be hooked, I am!!!

I have to say if you want a hair stylist that not only consistently amazes me, my friends and co-workers, with her talents, you must see Bobbie. She listens! She cares! She makes sure you leave happy! I reluctantly write this as she is already too busy & I hate having to get out of her chair! I must however give her props! She keeps me laughing and looking hot! What could be better? She is also cute as H. So be good to your self and call ahead, a visit with Bobbie is a treat!

I have never written a review for anyone on line. But Jen is such a wonderful stylist and professional with so much insight into what helps us look our most beautiful, that I wanted to tell everyone. After my appointment with Jen, my hair felt thicker and had more body that I could remember since I was a teenager, and that was many, many, many years ago. My experience with Jen has been that she took the time to ask me what I wanted and what my life style was. She really listened, and then gave her recommendation of what she thought would make my hair look the most beautiful and would work best with my lifestyle. I had "over processed" hair because I'd been going to a stylist who kept talking me into using more chemicals on my hair and more often than they should have been used. I actually thought my hair was thinning due to aging, at 50 years of age. Jen changed all of that with honest advice about how to care for my hair. Jen only uses and recommends products that she herself would use and she respects the planet and chooses products that enhance beauty, not products that cover up what nature gave us. Jen is the only hair care professional that I have ever been to who does not have her eye on the clock to get you out of the chair so she can move on to her next client like so many I have been to. She took the time to give me the best results ever, and she shared the "secrets" of what I needed to do to get the same results at home. Many stylists I have gone to over the years are not confident enough to share those "secrets". But Jen knows this is how she can help us look as good between appointments with her as we do on the day we walk out of the salon, and that is why word of mouth brings her so many new clients. People ask me, "Who does your hair?" and I tell them. She is a dedicated professional and she made my hair look and feel wonderful.

I have extremely curly hair and have spent my entire life trying to find someone who could cut it properly! I've lived in big cities like New York and Chicago, and have been to some great stylists, but Bobbie is the first person I've found who really took the time to understand what I was looking for, and who cut my hair like a pro. Going to get my haircut is such a treat now, because I know I'm going to walk out of there with a great haircut that will look equally as good on day 1 as it does on day 60! Not to mention the fact that Bobbie is lovely and pleasant to be around. Bobbie has always been 100% straight-up with me about the price of the haircut, and she is a lot more reasonably priced than others I've tried (and does a much better job) Bobbie you're a pro as evidenced by all of the good reviews on here. I found Bobbie on CitySearch, and I would 100% recommend that anyone (especially those with curly hair) check her out - you won't be disappointed!

I've tried a lot of the other salons in town and never had I had an experience like I had today. Denise had colored my hair and it came out beautiful. BUT her scalp massage was truly wonderful. I felt so relaxed and I felt so much better. Denise is truly my hairdresser forever.

I went for a manicure and pedicure today at Destenee Salon. Truly, it was the worst manicure I've ever had in my life, and I'm closing in on 50 here. At first I thought I was being pranked. (Until the nail of my right index finger was clipped short, leaving the raw pink of the nail bed exposed. Ouch and sharp sting, needless to say.) My nails looked ragged and had snags when she was done, as if someone had chewed them down in a nervous fit. I decided to leave before there was more damage. I feel a little bad, though, because the poor woman couldn't have been sweeter. I think she just didn't know what she was doing, and now I'm wondering if she didn't need glasses. Maybe she couldn't see. I complained to the manager before I left and by phone later that afternoon. First she said they would give me a refund for the manicure. Then she said I could come back on Friday (today is Tuesday... three days of running around with nails from unkempt hell) and get a complimentary manicure and pedicure when their "real nail tech" would be in. I haven't heard back from them yet, but I've already scheduled an appointment with another salon to fix this mangled manicure of mine, and I won't be going back to Destenee, ever.

Lisa Pruitt at Destenee is the best hair stylist I've been to during my past 3 years in Chapel Hill. I'd been to tons of other stylists who never seemed to understand what I wanted. She's cut my hair twice now, and I've been thrilled with the result both times!!

Destenee Salon is the only place I will trust to do cut, color and style my hair here in the Triangle! I see Bobbie, the owner, and she is wonderful! She has worked on me for years and is very helpful, friendly, honest and up-to-date on colors and products that fit my hair best. She is the epitome of style and professionalism! Plus she rocks on eyebrow waxing too!
