Some people give me strange looks when I mention that I take pole fitness classes because they don't *really* know what that means. So let me tell you that this is a heck of a workout! Most of your time, especially in lower levels, is spent doing intense yoga-like exercises that strengthen your core muscles, legs and developing glutes. Believe me, your body will know you've had a workout when you are done. The time you spend on the pole will develop your upper body and strengthen your core - I have a new respect for dancers because this is incredibly hard! Try holding yourself up off the ground on a swingset sometime and smiling while you do it - it ain't easy! So that's the workout aspect of it, but the bottom line here is that it is also fun, which makes the workout a lot more enjoyable. The ladies form a tight bond and spend a lot of time laughing at themselves and each other as they try to perfect new moves and not grimace while they do it :-) The atmosphere is relaxed and energizing. All of the instructors are very professional and proficient. They take a lot of time to work with students if they are having trouble getting an particular mood. I have the most experience with Tracy, and she is wonderful and incredibly encouraging, but all of the women who work there are very nice and work hard to make sure everyone has a positive experience. I can't say enough about how much fun the classes are and how much my self-confidence has improved. If you're ready to really enjoy moving (and maybe impress a few other people in the process), Aradia can get you there!

Believe me, do not take a class with Tracy. She is cheap and washed up. She is dirty and has been around the block more then a few times if you know what I mean..... I would not get involved with anything she is part of. She puts a bad name to the company, and to pole dancing.

I can remember my very first class at Aradia...I had Tracy as an instructor. I was immediately put to ease and have been hooked every since. I fell in love with the physical fitness part as well as becoming comfortable with myself. I have more confidence and feel sexier than ever! I highly recommend trying this and get Tracy as your instructor you will be hooked too! It is a wonderful place for women to become sensual within themselves and not feel intimidated. All sizes, ages, races fit beautifully here!
Pros: Helps women feel better about themselves
Cons: Pricey

I went looking for pole dancing on line after reading an article in US Weekly about Kate Hudson taking the classes. Even though I could be her momma, I was so intrigued by it the idea of actually learning how to do something so unusual. I was in one of the first classes offered over a year ago and I've been a regular ever since. I started taking classes start with a teaser and have worked my way up to a 6.5 class. I have no idea how high the number goes but I'm in it for the long haul. I exercise regularly with weights so this has been the perfect addition to my weekly routine. It's been a great way to build self-confidence and strength plus I've been so many nice ladies! There is no competition because we each just do whatever we are can, whatever our bodies will allow us. I would never have believed I'd own a pole in my home nor that I'd be about to climb it or go upside down on it. It's fun and exciting! Try it. I promise, you'll like it.

The staff is extremely friendly and supportive. The classes are small. There are no mirrors for you to judge yourself in. When i went to my "teaser" class in early 2007 I had no idea what to expect. I was very self conscious and didn't feel comfortable in my own skin. After one or two classes I found myself becoming more and more comfortable in my own body. I would walk a little bit taller and more confidently after every class. I could also see a change in my physique. ( Which certainly didn't hurt anything.) I can't say enough amazing things about Aradia Fitness. I would very highly recommend Terri and the ladies of Aradia to anyone who wants to get fit i with the added benefit of a more confident sense of self.

I was getting bored with the routine aerobics classes etc and was looking for a new fun way to get a similar workout. I went to a Teaser class at Aradia a year ago and I haven't stopped going since! All the instuctors are great and a lot of fun. Classes are small, so there is a lot of personal instruction. The floor, wall and pole routines exercise all areas of your body for a total fitness workout. Want your arms and shoulders to look great - this is the fitness class for you! It is amazing what tricks you can do on the pole - although they seem impossible when you see them - but the instructors are so patient and helpful that you pick it up quickly. Chair Dance, Lap Dance and other workshops are offered and they are a ton of fun! Not only are you shaping your body, but the classes increase your self confidence and your self assurance ... it is a great female bonding experience and we can all giggle together :-)

I highly recommend taking a class at Aradia Fitness. It's a great all over body workout for all sizes and ages. I've taken several classes with different instructors and I recommend taking a class with Tracy S. In my opinion, Tracy is the best instructor at Aradia Fitness. I suggest taking a "teaser" class first to see if you will enjoy the class. I started taking classes in Jan. 2008 and got hooked. I've been taking classes ever since and have seen so many positive things within myself. I walk with a certain confidence and my strength and flexibility have increased dramatically since I began.
Pros: Fun and challenging workout, Tracy, Bond with other women
Cons: It's a bit pricy

This studio is great for anyone looking for a new type of workout, a way to meet your more feminine side or just a night out with the girls. I have been doing aradia for more than a year now and have had so much fun with the classes and with the girls I have met there. It's a good workout especially for your arms and shoulders but also for your core and lower body

Whoever says you have to be 5'8" and a size 2 to be beautiful... well, they never had it so wrong! I'll admit I was one of the skeptical ones who rolled my eyes when I first heard about pole dancing for fitness. But after just one class in this amazing studio, I realized I had never had so much fun working out before! I walked out the door that evening with a little strut in my step. Now when I visit the studio for classes, I'm thrilled to be able to perform amazing acrobatic moves that have me hanging upside down and spinning wildly in my fun shoes. The strength and flexibility required to perform these dances is astounding. I don't think I've ever looked, or felt, this great before! The instructors are fabulous - no two are alike and they each bring an amazing energy to the class. Classes are so much fun and I've met so many women from different lifestyles. I want to share Aradia with all my girlfriends and I'm soon going to book one of their Aradia parties to introduce them to pole dancing. I even took one of the Aradia lapdancing classes which was a blast! My husband was pleasantly surprised when I came home that evening to show off what I learned =P If you aren't sure about Aradia, I strongly suggest signing up for one of the "Teaser" classes which is like an introduction class. You won't regret it! Aradia is FUN and has me feeling better about myself then ever. I get hang out with awesome ladies and cut loose to the music. With the yoga portion of the class plus the dancing part of the class, I really do get a GREAT workout... plus its FUN!
Pros: friendly instructors, great workout, nothing else like this

Aradia Fitness is such a blast! I'm so glad that I found out about this and tried out their teaser class. It's a good way to see if you really like the classes. I did the teaser, loved it! and I have moved on into the levels. It feels a little awkward at first when you start the class, but no one judges you and quickly you feel very comfortable in the studio. I feel that I have increased my flexibility and my arm strength since starting the classes. I will definitely keep up with the classes and can't wait to get my own pole at home to practice on!
Pros: Tons of fun! Easy going and intelligent instructors. Great music
Cons: A little pricey
