Finding a date is easy, finding a mate is the challenge. That is why I chose IJL...to try and find those with similar interests, family situations, etc. I am a new customer of one month and I dropped $1K to meet what I was promised. The descriptions they give of your date can apply to most anyone and are just basic useless information. Nothing specific, unique or tailored...It is a disgrace the amount of money charged for a service only for them to provide no service at all....I feel like I made a donation to the company more than I became a customer. If you are reading this...SAVE YOUR MONEY. I am an attractive woman that is successful and has no trouble finding dates...just wanted to avoid the typical dating scene (bars, friends of friends, etc) and meet folks that I knew we had like interests. This horrible service means to me that business must be off for IJL (folks hearing the news regarding their firm) and they simply have no clients! Or, they are just a horrible business. If anyone working at this firm reads this I have one question? How do you rest at night knowing you are ripping people off like this? Pretty pathetic.

If you want the real scoop, go to the consumeraffairs website to check out It's Just Lunch. The reviews are horrible and blunt - I feel badly for people who were mishandled by these franchises.

This service and this company are duds. They do very little but gather basic information about men and women, and then "match" them on introductory dates. That's it. There is no expertise involved whatsover except for collecting your money and matching you. The descriptions they give of your matches are vague, virtually useless, and have numerous things in common with everyone. There are many cost-free avenues for meeting people similar to yourself. Don't pay money for this huge lack of value.
Pros: Great advertising.
Cons: Everything else.

I have found that the majority of the "good" or favorable reviews have been posted by employees or directors of the It's Just Lunch branches. Personally, it's a waste of time and money. You pay the $1800 for complete strangers to "match' you up to complete strangers....hullo...and hey...there is no criteria they use to fullfill their end of the bargin...in other words, they can set you up with Quizimodo and it counts as a date. My advise, find another way to meet your mate!
Pros: Not a one
Cons: Throw away $1800

I requested some information online from them because I thought I might like to try it. That was a big mistake! I decided not to use their service and let them know that. The calls kept coming. They were relentless. Finally the calls stopped...for a while...and now 2 years later they are calling me again every single day. They are driving me crazy!

It's Just Lunch does what the internet dating companies can't, they personally match you with somebody you have things in common with and then completely coordinate the date, chosing the place and setting the time, even making the reservation, all you have to do is show up and enjoy making a new friend.
Pros: The staff is the best
Cons: Not all dates are perfect, but it only takes one....
