I'm so happy to have found this bar. It's like a second home now that I've come to town. Thanks for making me feel so welcome now that I'm out of the closet.

My boyfriend had been to Legends with some friends before and when we met he took me there. I had no idea what to expect, since I'd never been to a gay/les club before but I LOVED IT! As a woman, I didn't have to deal with the crap you deal with at strictly straight bars (getting hit on, jerks, etc.). The people there at Legends are all very accepting and it is the only place I've been in a long time where people will just come up to you to see if you're having a good time. We became regulars (I'm the asian chick with that HOT buzz-cut guy with the tattoo <3) but have fallen off the scene lately but we'll be making a comeback soon enough! *Side note: He has to deal with being hit on more than I do! But people are very courteous about it and the atmosphere allows people to say hi to strangers and tell him they're looking good that night or just wanting to see how you're doing. Legends is a wild place and a great place to let loose! HIGHLY recommended!!

Pros: Great music, atmosphere. Accepting and fun-loving, professional people.

Cons: Your clothes might be smokey later.

Originally, Legends was your typical smoky gay dance club with the drag shows, shirtless boys, clubkids, etc. But in the past few years they've made some impressive expansions. Bigger outdoor patio for one. But the best part: "The View", their new Nonsmoking section with "Video bar" and larger pool & game room. You can't help but wonder why they didn't have these ten years ago? It has definitely made it from "just another gay bar" to a great destination for your night out.

Pros: Video Bar/game room, Smoke-free Sections, Best club music

Cons: Crowds at peak time, Loud, Dance floor attitudes

its a good place to hang with friends, yes the guys there are have attitudes, but looking past that, they are nice to look at. some of the door men/women are getting better. the drag shows are great!!!. The view is awesome, smoke free now you can leave a the club with smelling like smoke the pool room is a great addition. the patio is great also. a over looking the attitudes,of the young guys the place is fun you have to make your own fun.

Pros: the view, some of the bartender

Cons: door men/women, attitudes

Legends is average, but one a small number of clubs that cater to a gay clientele. It's small, but it is popular among the 18-25 set. It can be hard to meet people due to the large crowds on the weekend. Music is too loud to have a conversation without talking loudly. Can be intimidating if you're by yourself, because the general attitude of the people there is that of being stuck-up, but not everyone is like that. Management should train the employees to be a lot more friendly, particularly the people at the door. They may pull a "members only" spiel on you at the door if you don't have a membership, regardless how long and how many times you've been there. Even though it is legal for them to do so, they should do it with consistency, and not just with people they don't like or find "undesirable."

Pros: Good drag shows, Servers remember you

Cons: , Cigarrette smoke, Snottiness

Ive been going to Legends for a few years now, and I agree with everything that is said here. The doormen can have the worst attitudes, they should take some courtesy lessons from the nice guy that works the door at CC. Music is always good, but there needs to be "HOT"go-go dancers in the cages. Drinks are always good, every weekend night the bar is packed but I usually do not have to wait too long for a drink. I love hanging out on the patio!! Everyone there just needs to lose the attitude-not sure why the door guys have attitude, you're a "door guy"....can't we all just get along?? Plus why, if I lose my ID and credit card at the bar can I only pick them up on Tuesdays from 4:14 PM - 4:22 PM?!?!?! People People give me back my numerous debit cards Ive lost there!!

Pros: Shirtless sweaty guys, Long Island Iced Ts, Patio

Cons: Staff attitude, No Go-Go dancers, Attitude

Well....that pretty much sums up what i was doing at this place. Twidling my thumbs. People there were stuck up, it was small, the sound system was awful, the light show was equally as bad. Someone compared it to Velocity in Charlotte. Well, that "rectanglular box" sure has grown into a regional club. Even when it was the rectangular box, the sound system was incredible, the light show was 10x better then what's at Legends and the crowd was just a bit less stuck up then what i found at Legends as well. North Carolina is finally growning up (Ibiza in wilmington & Velocity in charlotte) yet the Raliegh-Durham area is still lagging behind. I find myself travelling every weekend to get away from the dismal nightlife here.

Cons: smokey, bad sound system, bad music

It was definitely a hot place to be on New Year's; the music was great, the energy was up, and everybody was having a great time. It's honestly a great club for anyone.

Pros: music, dancing, people
