I've been eating at Margaux for at least ten years and I keep coming back. I can honestly say I've never had a bad- or even average meal. My wife and I ate there tonight and as I sat back after the delicious Roast chicken and calamari I declared I had a "food buzz". The food is just that good. The host and staff are sophisticated. The decor urban and artsy. But the food is devine. My only complaint is that I wish there were more French wines on the extensive wine list, but I understand that their selection is based on their patrons' wishes. My favorite dishes are their seafood entrees. By the way- the menu is different every night (aside from a few staples) I also love that they serve duck, lamb and other interesting choices.

Pros: Varied menu, exotic dishes

I have dinned at Margaux probably 15 times and each was an adventure in great food, great atmosphere, and excellent service. If there is one thing you can absolutely count on at Margaux, it's that you won't be disappointed when you go there. It's such a treat to be able to pick a new dish from the ever evolving menu and know that you will be pleasantly surprised at the twists on tradition the chef has created for the meal. If its an evening out with friends for drinks, a quiet business lunch or a romantic meal your looking for, Margaux is the place to go.

Pros: Staff, food, atmosphere, location, variety

Cons: none

Talk about great service, awesome food and a fun atmosphere....this is the place!! I have been taking my wife, family and friends here over the past 10 years and have never been disappointed. I know there have been restaurants closing down due to the economy, but I know this restaurant will live on forever because of the fanstastic dining experience second to none! I've been to restaurants in NYC, Florida, California - paid twice as much but had half the experience. Not to be missed......

Pros: IT'S a Thumbs up from me.................

My husband and I have been enjoying Margaux's for 15 years. For every special occasion, family times, visits from friends and co-workers we always choose this restaurant above all others. The service is impeccable, the food is of the highest quality and there are lots of items to choose from on the menu. In addition to this, the owners are always on point to ensure an extraordinary dining experience. We highly recommend this restaurant !!

Pros: Big Thumbs Up!!

We went to Margaux's with another couple and experienced an extremely long wait time on the food (which was mediocre, at best). I asked for my steak well-done and they sent it out completely burned! When the waitress came back after I sent it back she told me that chef said, "This is my well-done". The waitstaff was all very scattered and refilled my half-empty glass of Sprite with water more than once. They also took away the breadbasket without asking us if we would like a box for it (instead of them throwing it away, what a waste!) ***Little did we know, the worst was yet to come, all four of us got sick from the food and remained that way for the rest of the weekend! I do not recommend this place at all, there are places of a similar price in the Triangle that are much more worthwhile (and that won't make you sick) such as Bogart's, Cheesecake Factory, The Melting P0t or Rio Churrascaria.

Pros: NONE!

Cons: Food, price, waitstaff, chef, basically everything!

I just had dinner there last night, and I loved this place! I didn't know it was there, until a friend of mine told me. Their menu is diverse and had enough for me to return. The waitstaff was attentive, but not too pushy. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Great job!

There are lots of restaurants in Raleigh, but this one offers great food, great service and a great atmosphere. I felt like a "regular" the first time I visited Margaux's. The decor is exotic and eclectic. It really matches my moods. It offers a romantic setting where I can dine with my husband and it's also a great place to meet friends and enjoy the excellent wine selection at the bar. The menu, like the atmosphere, is distinct and enjoyable. My family consists of meat eaters, seafood lovers and vegetarians and we all find great choices on a menu that changes frequently and is never dull. I love the calamari and the desserts are incredible. The shopping - center location, which hosts fast food and retail, is easily forgotten when I step onto Margaux's covered sidewalk and through the medieval doors. The atmosphere and food are equally enjoyable. The staff at Margaux's is great. It really is a place where you are made to feel welcome no matter how busy they are. I've lived here a few years now and I haven't found a restaurant in Raleigh that surpasses this one in service or cuisine. Its awesome!

I've eaten at Margaux's six to ten times over the past few years when I have visited Raleigh and I have been consistently delighted. The service has been attentive without being obtrusive, the ambiance is fun and funky, and the food has always been superb. I have had several seafood dishes that I have been very impressed with, the fish in particular has been served in inventive and delicious ways. The desserts are magnificent. My favorite has been the Chocolate Chess Tartlet, which is a special. I am not a VIP or a regular by any means, they would have no idea who I am, and once when I had planned to go there, a friend called and asked if they would prepare it as she knew it was my favorite, they were gracious and immediately agreed. If this is how they treat customers they don't know, who aren't regulars...they are doing something very, very right. I am not much of a drinker but I have heard very good reviews about the bar and the wine selection. Margaux's is really a delightful dining experience, my favorite place to go in Raleigh. Thank you, Marguax's!

Was in last night for my 42nd birthday. Waitress was horrible. Acted like she was doing us a favor waiting on us! Very poor form! Food was fair, but expected better for the price. Wife wanted to take me to Bonefish and I insisted on Margaux's. I should have listened to the wife! She is usually right anyway. Was in four years ago for an anniversary and now I remember why we had not been back since. If you are going to spend your time & money there are so many much better options in Raleigh these days. We will definitely not go back again.

The Mack Daddy of Restaurants. The best experience this side of Manhattan. A must see for yourself. Wine list is exceptional and the desserts will knock your socks off.
