Just ate here for the first time tonight and will be going back again. I had the Garlic Chicken with only broccoli extra spicy [and boy did they make it so :)]. I was crying it was so spicy but that's how I wanted it and they did it just right. The flavor behind the spice was delicious. My husband got orange chicken and my children got Chicken Broccoli. The wait staff was very courteous and kept our glasses full with ice water. Since my family moved down here from NY we have not been able to find a good Chinese food restaurant. THE SEARCH IS OVER. The food is great the staff is great and there is a very nice feel to the place. Everyone else in the restaurant seemed to be in good spirits and smiling which is a good indicator that the food was not just wonderful for us. So if you are a Northerner who has relocated down the NC and are looking for a great Chinese food place you have found it in Imperial Garden. If you are a Southerner then I am sure you already know about this place but if you didn't don't hesitate to go.

Pros: GREAT FOOD, GREAT STAFF

Cons: ...If you find one let me know

Went to Imperial Garden based on the reviews in this site. We had very good service and the Orange Chicken was the best I've ever had. The fried rice was really good too. The place did smell a little funny when you first walked in, but it looked clean overall. My husband and I will go there again.

Pros: Very good food and service

Cons: Atmosphere needs some work

Imperial Garden is one of our favorite spots in the area!!! The owners/waitstaff always greet us with smiles and make us feel very welcome. I have a hard time finding restaurants that are able to cook my food with splenda and it still taste great. I wasn't sure if they offered that until I asked and the response I got was hilarious: "Burger King isn't the only place where you can 'Have it your way!"" When we don't know what we are in the mood for, they recommend dishes to us and they have all been delicious! There are so many Chinese restaurants around the area and we are glad that we have found THE BEST!!!

Pros: Great food and atmosphere

Cons: None

Prompt, friendly service. Fried Dumplings and Shrimp with Black Bean Sauce are incredible. This is among the best Chinese restaraunts on the planet. Curry Beef and Kung-Pao Chicken are also very tasty. I eat there at least once a week.

Pros: Excellent food

Cons: None

I have been eating here for over five years now, ever since I moved to the Raleigh area. I have lived all over the US and never found a place that is more consistant over the years. The food is delicious and the staff is very accomodating and friendly. Any special requests are never a problem here. I'd love to choose a favorite, but I am having a hard time. I think I most often crave the Kung Pao Chicken. You can get this cooked anywhere from very mild to extremely spicy depending on your mood. They have many delicious vegetarian dishes as well. The soups are all excellent....you can't go wrong. Try this place....you will not be sorry....I guarantee it!

Pros: Top-Notch food and excellent service every time.

Cons: Only one location...

I not really sure the food is actually chinese! The spring roll looked like a taco. It was drenched in a sugary brown sauce. The dumplings had sauage meat in them. The entrees contained a rubber beef b/c of the large amount of fat on the meat. And once again that sugar sauce was soaked into the beef.. You know, the kind of sugar consistancy that leaves a film on your teeth. Eek! I do not need a cavity! Needless to say, my husband and I only consumed the white rice. I believe the restaurant has OVER americanized it's food. Also the table was dirty and the booth was very uncomfortable b/c of the rips and backside indentation. I was swolled into a gluteus maxiumus black hole. Don't waste your hard earned money!

Pros: good water

Cons: not good for diabetics.

I think this place is great. The food is always fresh and tasty. The family who owns the restaurant are always extremely nice and the service is great. I recommend the General Tso's Chicken. Also, while not on the menu, the Chow Fun noodles are great. You can ask and they will make them for you.

After seeing the 5 star rating on google maps when looking for a good chinese food place nearby, I thought this would be a winner. WRONG! This place was average to poor food quality. The General Tso's Chicken was disgusting (ate one piece and left the rest for garbage, and wife did the same). Crab rangoons were not that great (my wife loves them usually- this is the first place she's really complained about). Chicken and brown rice was bland. Nothing we ate was good enough to order again. Oddly enough I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant when I went to pick up, and the service for takeout was excellent. Overall, I'd say P.F. Chang's and Red Dragon (close to 5-points in downtown Raleigh, although I haven't eaten there in years) are the only good chinese restaurants I've experienced in Raleigh. At least the atmosphere of this place was better than the one up on New Falls of the Neuse.

Pros: Restaurant has good atmosphere, good service. Takeout has good service (although they got part of my order wrong)

Cons: Food is nasty

We like this restaurant for family groups as they can accomodate large parties. Food is good but not exceptional. Good wait staff

Pros: Nice for groups

Cons: A little noisy at times

This is authentic chinese food! This quaint restaurant has excellent service, large portions, and excellent dishes. Being vegetarian, I am very wary of chinese restaurants because most don't consider chicken stock as meat. When I ordered Moo Shoo Vegetables and told the waitress I'm vegetarian she said "ok, we'll be sure not to use the stock". When the staff know the details of the kitchen it shows that everyone works together to make a great experience not only for themselves, but for the patrons, too.

Pros: Food, Staff, Service
