After visiting this joint, I went across my on line banking. And notice that after I took the time to pick up my order they went ahead and charge me $2.50 for tip. On a carry out. Not to mention the chicken wings where awfull.

The popular food (sesame chicken, tofu) is ok, but the so called happy family, combos, are not good/fresh. The pork (red one) is not fresh, tasted like some leftover. The service is not good, the waiter is quite rude. And it is NOT kids-friendly. And they added our 1.5 year old, who didn't eat anything, as one number and charge us 18% tips since we are party of 5! So a quick takeout maybe fine here, but not recommended for families with young children, and don't try their pricey combo one (the one with beef/pork/chicken/shrimp all sorts vegetables) some ingredients are not fresh and with the very browny source, you can't tell!!

I went to get some good chinese food and I always get sesame chicken but this time I had wanted to try something new so I ordered sweet and sour chicken. When I got home I did not like the food. The rice tasted stale and the sweet and sour sauce tasted like water. I had 2 bites of my chicken and I couldnt eat it anymore. I paid $11 for my meal and I wanted to get my money back because it wasnt worth it. I drove all the way back and I explained to the manager that the food was not good and I was not happy. He started to raise his voice at me infront of other people and said he would not refund my money because I ate the chicken when I really only had 2 bites. He was arguing with me for about 5-10 mins until he refunded me only 6 bucks because I ate 2 bites of the chicken. I'm never going back because I got rude service. Who yells at a customer because they arent happy with there food?

Went in to order take out for lunch. Staff horrible and rude. Food was even worse - not worth the $6.03. General Tso's chicken was burnt. Would not "exchange" the lunch for a serving that wasn't burnt - said they would have to charge me another $6.00! Go down the road to Wok N Grille, spend less and get better tasting food.
Pros: close to RTP
Cons: food is horrible, staff is horrible,

I ordered take-out from the Orient Garden's online menu, and chose the chicken with water chestnuts and snow peas. When I arrived to pay for it, I was told that they "no longer use water chestnuts" (in the Chicken with water chestnuts...?). Evidently they overlooked changing this in their online menu. I specifically ordered this because of the water chestnuts, and although they did offer to make me something else, I was taking part of the order to my sick daughter, so I didnt want to wait another 15 minutes. I think the right thing to do would be to tell people about this change when they order, instead of after they arrive and have to pay almost 10 dollars for the meal. At very least they should have cut the price on this meal for me.
Pros: Food was fresh
Cons: Not what I ordered

My family has been eating at Orient Garden for several years now. It's by far our favorite place to get takeout - no matter how busy the place gets, the takeout orders are always prepared quickly, fresh and hot. The menu has all of the usual standbys, well executed with fresh ingredients, plus a few tasty specialities. My kids love Orient Garden so much that the youngest got nicknamed "Sesame Beef Man". The only aspect I don't like is their usage of fake crabmeat (surimi) instead of real crab in seafood dishes. I say "hold the crab meat" rather than eat the stuff. Aside from that, it's all good, tasty, and fresh. On the con side, it gets a little noisy and crowded inside when busy. An out-of-the-way waiting area for people picking up takeout would help, as would some noise-absorbing surfaces in the dining area.
Pros: Good food, Kid-Friendly, Quick Takeout

After moving to the area some years back we spent a long time finding a great chinese restaurant.. We are now regulars...

I eaten at a lot of chinese restaurants and this one is by far the best. I used to eat general tso and sesame chicken all the time, but had to stop b/c it was so heavy and too breaded. Orient Express' is not! It's not heavy, you don't feel sick afterwards and you actually see the chicken that's lightly fried. The soup is outstanding as well as the rice. It's pricey but well worth it. The best thing is that for the take-out they give you reusable tuperware. You can't beat it. So if you like well-cooked, light, and tastey chinese food that doesn't sit on your stomach but leaves you feeling stastified, eat here. I've recommended it to everyone and everyone likes it.
Pros: great location
Cons: small interior
